Port Hadlock man dies in one-car wreck near Gorst

GORST — A Port Hadlock man has died in a one-car wreck on state Highway 16 near Gorst.

Samuel R. May, 63, was traveling west on state Highway 16 at 11:12 a.m. Wednesday when his car crossed all lanes and struck a pedestrian staircase to the overpass, the State Patrol said.

May was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said. Next of kin has been notified.

Drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash, the State Patrol said.
