An open house on the Elwha-Dungeness Watershed Plan will be held in Room 160 of the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. today.
County commissioners will hold a public hearing on the plan beginning at 10 a.m.
The plan was done to find solutions to local conflicts over water between people and fish.
“Conflicts in our area include lack of sufficient water in late summer to support endangered salmon, and lack of available water rights for new development,”‘ a summary accompanying the plan says.
“Growth or salmon? The plan proposes how we can have both!”
