Little Haille Alley is getting a new heart.
Her grandmother says it’s nothing short of a miracle.
Less than a week after being placed on the national transplant list, the 21-month-old Port Angeles girl was scheduled to under go surgery for the new organ Saturday evening.
“It’s God’s work or all the prayers we’ve got going,” Haille’s grandmother, Kathleen Anding, said Saturday morning. “It’s a miracle.”
Anding and her husband, Don, have stayed with Haille at Children’s Hospital and Medical Center in Seattle since Feb. 17, when doctors found a tumor on the left side of the toddler’s heart and diagnosed her with congenital heart failure.
Anding arrived at Haille’s hospital room Saturday morning to hear that doctors had located a heart donor for the girl in Phoenix.
