PORT ANGELES — The Port Angeles High School gymnastics team took third place with a score of 152.7 in the Port Angeles Invitational on Friday.
Sehome High School took first place with a score of 167.5.
On Friday, the Roughriders’ Danielle Schemm placed in the top 10 in three of four events and was the only gymnast from Port Angeles to take a championship.
Schemm placed first in the vault with a score of 8.6 and was eighth in the floor exercise with a score of 8.5.
She also took seventh in the balance beam with a score of 8.3, and seventh overall with a combined score of 32.4.
In the uneven bars, Cailey Condon of Port Angeles took eighth with a score of 7.5.
Saturday’s events were organized by division according to the season record of each participant and her overall skill level.
