PORT ANGELES — Today marks StreamFest, the second event celebrating land and stream preservation.
People can learn about land conservation easements and local habitat along a quarter-mile stretch of Ennis Creek.
StreamFest runs from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Ennis Arbor Farm, home of Jim and Robbie Mantooth.
Parking is limited at the Ennis Creek home.
Shuttle buses will run regularly during the afternoon, leaving from the old Safeway Plaza at the bottom of Golf Course Road in east Port Angeles.
Except for a salmon dinner cooked by Lower Elwha Klallam tribal members, the event is free.
StreamFest is sponsored by North Olympic Land Trust and aimed at educating people about preserving their land through conservation easements.
