PORT ANGELES — About 30 school district officials will begin five days of training meetings Monday morning at Olympic Park Institute at Lake Crescent.
The Summer Administrative Institute will include principals, assistant principals, Central Services building administrators and others who will work to develop better teaching methods.
“This is not a retreat. This is a training institute,” Superintendent Gary Cohn said. “This particular setting has been used in the past, and it gets us away from day-to-day interruptions of the workplace so we can better concentrate.”
On the fifth day of the institute, district officials will move to Lost Mountain Ranch in Sequim because Olympic Park Institute was not available.
The estimated cost for facilities’ use and meals, not including snacks, is about $3,000.
