PORT ANGELES — An announcement regarding the Washington Alder sawmill project should come next week, company president Richard Tinney said Friday.
He is traveling out of the area this week, but will return the week of Nov. 15 when he expects to make an announcement, Tinney said.
He didn’t say whether the announcement would involve the 113-acre former Critchfield property that Washington Alder has been trying to buy from the Port of Port Angeles, or other property west of the city center.
The Port now owns the 113 Critchfield acres bordered by William R. Fairchild International Airport, Lower Elwha Road and Edgewood Drive.
The Port declared the property as surplus on Aug. 23 so it could be sold to Washington Alder.
