Nearly two months after a confrontation left a Port Angeles woman dead, authorities have released no new information about what happened.
Rosa Hammer, 27, was killed during an exchange of gunfire with State Patrol trooper Ron Kessler following a traffic stop Aug. 9 on state Route 16 in Gorst, south of Bremerton.
Kessler was wounded in the hand.
Authorities say about a pound of marijuana, close to $1,000 in cash and six hollow-point bullets were later confiscated from the truck.
A statement from Kessler, information about his condition and his work status have not been made public by the State Patrol, even though the information has been compiled, officials said.
The State Patrol and the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office have been putting together ballistics, toxicology and autopsy reports, a diagram of the crime scene, statements from witnesses and interviews with those involved since the incident occurred.
Toxicology results will show if Hammer had used drugs or alcohol the day she was killed.
