The Port Angeles Red Lion Hotel is now part of WestCoast Hospitality Corp.
The Spokane-based lodging, entertainment and real estate company has completed its purchase of the Red Lion Hotel chain from Hilton Hotels Corp.
The transaction, which includes two DoubleTree hotels in addition to Port Angeles and 40 other Red Lion hotels, was announced in October.
The $50.6 million purchase price wasn’t finalized until Dec. 31, WestCoast Hospitality officials said Thursday.
“We don’t anticipate any immediate changes,” said Michael Luehrs, general manager of the Port Angeles Red Lion.
“WestCoast is taking a very reasonable and rational approach to the sale and carefully looking at such things as the customer base before making decisions.”
