Port Angeles: Port could choose new executive director next week

PORT ANGELES — Port commissioners anticipate holding an executive session next week to select a new executive director from three finalists, interim director Clyde Boddy said Tuesday.

The selection could be announced at the Aug. 27 Port of Port Angeles commissioners’ meeting, he said.

The three finalists, who have been visiting Port Angeles this week, are:

* Cynthia Stewart, manager of Boeing Field in Seattle.

* Former Port of Seattle Aviation Marketing Manager David Rystrom.

* Former Port of Miami (Fla.) Deputy Director Claude Bullock.

The three finalists spent most of Tuesday interviewing with the three Port commissioners, a citizens’ advisory committee and staff advisory committee. They were also introduced briefly at Monday’s commissioner meeting.
