PORT ANGELES — Organizers of 10 Christmas parties scheduled at the Elks Naval Lodge during the next two weeks had to scramble to find new locations Tuesday after fire severely damaged the building at 131 E. First St.
All 10 of the parties were relocated by late afternoon, said manager Glen Larson.
“I feel sorry mostly for the Christmas party people. We had seven parties scheduled this week. Everybody was terrific. Everything got re-booked,” Larson said.
“They are all over the place. We have them going to The Landing (mall), Vern Burton Community Center, two to the Port Angeles Senior Center, one or more are going to the Masonic Center, I think the Eagles Lodge is getting one,” Larson said.
