PORT ANGELES — Eleven new hangars planned for William R. Fairchild International Airport could be finished in six months if the pending sale of the developer’s property in Texas goes through.
Airport Manager Jeff Robb told Port of Port Angeles commissioners Monday that R&B Properties and Investments — consisting of Roger Hines and his wife, Barbara — has put money in escrow to build the hangars.
Robb said the sale of property in Texas is scheduled to close this week. Hines will use the money from that sale to build the hangars, he said.
The airport still doesn’t have a signed lease for the project, but the plan is to break ground in two or three months and be finished in six months, Robb said.
