PORT ANGELES — Mike Kilpatrick, elected to the Olympic Medical Center board in 1999, has resigned from his position, effective before the end of July.
Kilpatrick’s resignation was briefly announced at the hospital board meeting Wednesday night.
“This letter will serve to inform you that it is time for the OMC board of commissioners to consider a plan of action for my replacement,” Kilpatrick wrote in a March 27 letter to board Chairman Jorgen Quistgaard.
A retired school administrator, Kilpatrick, 71, said he is moving to Arlington.
Mike Glenn, hospital administrator, said steps will be immediately taken to advertise the position, accept applications and name a successor to Kilpatrick prior to his departure.
