The Port Angeles City Council will publicly deliberate tonight on whether to seek more environmental studies on the proposed fluoridation of municipal water.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m. in the council chambers at City Hall, 321 E. Fifth St.
The council held a two-day public hearing last month on an appeal that seeks the further studies.
The council also is scheduled to open a public hearing at 7 p.m. tonight on increasing the city’s landfill and garbage collection rates. The proposed rate increases are 5 percent in 2005 and 5 percent in 2006.
That hearing probably will be continued until the Sept. 7 City Council meeting.
