Port Angeles: Duck Derby schedule

PORT ANGELES — The Great Olympic Peninsula Duck Derby takes place Sunday and includes activities for the entire family.

All events will be on Ediz Hook adjacent to the Daishowa America mill canal.

Here’s Sunday’s lineup:

* 4:30 p.m. — The Kid’s Pavilion containing various activities for children will open.

* 5 p.m. — Last chance for people to purchase racing ducks at “Duck Quackers Central,” next to the canal.

* 5:30 p.m. — The Very Important Duck Race will begin for businesses that purchased logo ducks.

* 6 p.m. — The main race begins with thousands of ducks being dumped into the canal.
