PORT ANGELES — City officials are optimistic they can secure a temporary easement from Rayonier Inc. to connect the Waterfront Trail to the Olympic Discovery Trail.
City Parks Director Mark Connelly said Wednesday that the city is currently drafting temporary easement documents for review by Rayonier officials.
The easement will be temporary due to ongoing clean-up operations at the company’s former Ennis Street pulp mill site, which Rayonier is trying to sell, Connelly said.
