The Port Angeles Business Association on Tuesday passed a resolution supporting developer Randal Jay Ehm’s plans for a waterfront hotel and convention center.
Approved in a 24-4 vote, the resolution endorsed “Ehm’s conference center as a positive economic development, and we endorse this project provided that the concerns and questions of parking and ‘due diligence’ are met.”
A city advisory committee last week approved Ehm’s plans subject to further study of parking, his marketing plan and a payment schedule to Ehm for a $2 million city hotel-motel tax subsidy for the center. The project is also under study by two other city committees.
