PORT ANGELES — This Wednesday kicks off the summer’s first Concert on the Pier performance.
Cherry Hill, one of the hottest bluegrass music band on the North Olympic Peninsula, opens the 13-week series of outdoor concerts.
You can’t argue with the price — the concerts are free.
Concert on the Pier’s performances will run every Wednesday night through Sept. 15 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at City Pier.
The concerts are held in association with Wednesday’s downtown Port Angeles Farmers Market.
The market will close one block of Laurel Street from First Street to Front Street every Wednesday afternoon through October.
The market will be open from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
It features as many as 40 vendors selling fresh organic produce, baked goods, crafts, beauty products, plants and fresh cut flowers.
The farmers market is also open on Laurel Street from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays.
