PORT ANGELES — Scouts from Troop 1498 recently mobilized to help the Peninsula Friends of Animals.
A dozen scouts spent four days doing maintenance projects at the friends’ shelter.
Project leader Alec Shingleton was joined by Fisher Jensen, Iain Thill, Emmanuel Gomez, Jared Bates, David Calderon, Rudy Franco, Ben Wright, James Mason, Zay Jones, Daisy Ryan and Ozzy Kramer.
The scouts repaired and pressure washed outdoor play structures for cats, pruned and removed overhanging branches, removed downed fencing and removed a canvas tent that had been blown down by a windstorm.
Peninsula Friends of Animals operates a cage-less, no-kill shelter for cats.
