Benjamin Michael Arredondo, 38, accused of robbing the downtown Port Angeles Bank of America, made his first appearance in Clallam County Superior Court Thursday afternoon to face a charge of felony first-degree robbery.
Arredondo was extradited to Port Angeles this week from Las Vegas, where police had arrested him for trespassing at a public swimming pool.
He has been wanted in Clallam County since Jan. 18, when he allegedly hopped over the counter at the bank, filled a bag with cash from the teller’s drawer, fled up the stairs behind the Laurel Street fountain and escaped in a stolen pickup truck.
