A report released Tuesday by the state Employment Security Department shows the jobless rate on the North Olympic Peninsula still falling in March.
In Jefferson County, the unemployment rate dropped from 8.3 percent in January to 7.3 percent in February to 6.4 percent in March, state figures show.
In Clallam County, the rate dropped from 9.3 percent in January to 8.6 percent in February to 8.0 percent in March, figures show.
Last year’s March unemployment rates were 6.1 percent in Jefferson County and 8.5 percent in Clallam County.
Statewide, the unemployment rate decreased from 8.0 percent in February to 7.3 percent in March this year.
