SEATTLE — Washington State coach Paul Wulff may be out after the Washington Huskies destroyed the Cougars in the Apple Cup game Saturday night.
The Seattle Times reported on its website that Wulff would be out as Washington State coach barring a last-minute change, citing unnamed sources.
It also reported that former Texas Tech coach Mike Leach is in line for the job.
A school spokesman would only say that Wulff and Athletic Director Bill Moos are expected to meet.
Wulff has a 9-40 record in four years, a .184 winning percentage that is worst in school history.
Washington on Saturday night pulled away from rival Washington State 38-21 to win the 104th Apple Cup.
