DECEMBER IS TRADITIONALLY the time of year when people and communities throughout the world collectively pause to reflect upon their lives and reconnect with their families and community through diverse and culturally rich traditions.
At Olympic Community Action Programs (OlyCAP), winter is a time when we stand in respectful amazement of the Peninsula Daily News’ Peninsula Home Fund and the hundreds of businesses, families and individuals who so generously support our work to help people, change lives and grow healthy and vibrant communities.
OlyCAP’s family, like so many others throughout the North Olympic Peninsula, will take time this holiday season to recognize our community’s accomplishments, seek answers to our challenges and, most importantly, give thanks to you, our incredible community partners.
Each year, the Home Fund represents hope for hundreds of people throughout the North Olympic
Peninsula.
The Home Fund is a hot meal, a warm place to sleep, a classroom to learn and the ability to get to work.
It is access to critical medical care.
It is many things for so many people. The Home Fund is a manifestation of a compassionate community that actively supports hope.
OlyCAP considers itself privileged to work with the Peninsula Daily News and all those who so selflessly contribute to the Home Fund.
Your consideration allows OlyCAP to advocate for low-income families.
It provides a voice for the elderly and disabled.
It ensures that people from one end of the Peninsula to the other have access to paths that alleviate emergent needs and guide them toward self-sufficiency.
OlyCAP is humbled and honored to serve the people of the North Olympic Peninsula.
Our promise to you is we will treat every Home Fund contribution with respect and accountable transparency.
