Peninsula College officials are trying to forecast how the $813 million decrease in state tax revenues will affect the college.
“We won’t know the specific effect until the Legislature takes action,” said college President Thomas Keegan.
“In the meantime, we are working at the community and technical college level to prepare system-wide strategies to lessen the impact.”

Officials said the state and national economies are struggling because of decreased economic activity following the Sept. 11 attacks. The slowdown had started before the attacks.
