Peninsula College focal point of area Martin Luther King Jr. observances

PORT ANGELES — Peninsula College students and staff will observe Martin Luther King Jr. Day during two special events today and Friday.

The public is invited to attend the free events, both of which will be on the Peninsula College campus, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd.

“It is critically important for us to be vigilant in sharing Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s vision,” Peninsula College President Thomas Keegan said. “The college is in a position to provide public recognition of his work and also to provide the information and education necessary to continue his dream.”

The events were scheduled this week because the college campus is closed Monday to observe Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
