PORT ANGELES – Heavy rain and high winds returned to Clallam County on Tuesday but didn’t cause anywhere near the problems of the November and December storms.
Clallam County Public Utility District customers in the Forks area lost power from about 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. when a tree fell onto a transmission line, said dispatch supervisor Tricia Barrett.
Customers in the area between Lake Sutherland and Lairds Corner lost power about 8 a.m. because of falling trees but had it restored by about noon, she said.
Neah Bay and a small area on state Highway 112 east of Pysht lost power for awhile Tuesday but regained it at about 2 p.m., Barrett said.
The Lost Mountain Road and Taylor Cutoff Road area also were out of power from 8:30 a.m. until noon because of falling trees, she said.
