PORT ANGELES — Claude Bullock says he will withdraw as executive director-designate for the Port of Port Angeles.
In an interview Sunday night with the Peninsula Daily News, Bullock, 61, said he was working on a withdrawal letter which would be sent to the Port commissioners for their meeting this morning.
“I think it’s best that I not take the position,” he said.
“I have absolutely nothing to hide, absolutely nothing, and I have a number of ideas that would help the Port, ideas that I think that no one has ever thought of.
“My wife and I like this area, and I think I could have contributed a great deal.
“But I can understand community’s concerns.
“And if the community can’t forgive, or work with me, so be it. It’s best that we go our separate ways.”This full report appears in today’s Peninsula Daily News, on sale throughout Clallam and Jefferson counties. Click on “Subscribe” to order your PDN delivered to your home or office.
