OTA’s ‘Another Night Before Christmas’ auditions set for Saturday, Monday

SEQUIM — Olympic Theatre Arts will hold auditions for its upcoming production of “Another Night Before Christmas” from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday.

The auditions will be held at the theater, 414 N. Sequim Ave.

The production is a two-person comedy in two acts and will be directed by Dan DePrez with musical direction by Steven Humphrey.

The show will run from Dec. 13-22.

The roles being cast are Karol Elliot, a disillusioned social worker in her late 30s to early 40s and “The Guy,” a seemingly homeless man of indeterminate age.

According to a press release, the music is in Broadway belt style.

The part of Karol is in the vocal range of E(3) to E(5) and The Guy is a tenor, range B-flat(3) to G-sharp(4).

Performers will be asked to do cold readings from the script and to sing a representative number from a Broadway show that demonstrates their range and technique, an accompanist will be provided.
