The boards of local government agencies will meet next week on the North Olympic Peninsula.

Jefferson County

The three Jefferson County commissioners will consider a proclamation declaring the rights of Southern Resident orcas when they meet at 9 a.m. Monday.

The commissioners will hear a public health and emergency management update from Dr. Allison Berry, health officer for Jefferson and Clallam counties, and Willie Bence, director of emergency management, at 9:45 a.m.; discuss priorities for allocating the remaining American Rescue Plan Act funds and conduct a workshop on the 2022 annual report from the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.

Items on the consent agenda include amended agreements with Cascade Community Connection for community inclusion services and several advisory resignations and an appointment.

The Hood Canal Coordinating Council is a watershed-based council of governments consisting of Jefferson, Kitsap and Mason Counties and the Port Gamble S’Klallam and Skokomish tribes. It was established in 1985 to address concerns about water quality issues.

Park and Recreation

Clallam County Park and Recreation District 1 quarterly meeting has been rescheduled to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The meeting is in the YMCA, 610 N. Fifth Ave., Sequim.
