PORT ANGELES — The Clallam County Auditor’s Office had processed more than one-fourth of the ballots mailed in the Nov. 4 general election by Friday.
The office received 1,398 ballots on Friday, bringing the total received to 11,759 or 25.74 percent of the 45,666 ballots mailed to registered voters on Oct. 15.
Jefferson County ballots returned by Friday totaled 7,421, or 33.6 percent of the 22,085 ballots mailed to voters.
Ballots must be postmarked by Nov. 4, or hand-delivered by 8 p.m. that day.
Voters can take completed ballots to the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., or leave them in drop boxes outside the courthouse, at Sequim Vehicle/Vessel Licensing, 101 E. Washington St., or District Court in Forks, 500 E. Division St.
