PORT ANGELES — Olympic Medical Center commissioners will meet Wednesday but not to buy the former Virginia Mason clinic on Eighth Street or sign contracts with its primary care providers.
OMC’s interim administrator, Eric Lewis, said, “Olympic Medical Center and the family medicine physicians at the primary care clinic have agreed that we need more time to work out the details of the agreements.
“We do not anticipate any problems in completing the agreements, but we will not be ready for action until January.”
Lewis did not explain why buying the building at 433 E. Eighth St. had been postponed, although an update on the purchase is on the agenda.
OMC took over operating the clinic May 1, renaming it the Olympic Medical Physicians Primary Care Clinic.
Wednesday’s meeting will begin at 6 p.m. in Linkletter Hall in the basement of the hospital, 939 Caroline St., in Port Angeles.
