PORT ANGELES – Olympic Medical Center received donations totaling nearly $321,000 Wednesday from its namesake foundation.
The amount represents $60,770 that was contributed during 2006, $200,000 that derived from fundraising efforts last year, and than $60,115 raised by Team OMC – 52 people who ran a marathon and half-marathon in Phoenix on Sunday. .
The amount is expected to grow.
Bruce Skinner, executive director of the Olympic Medical Center Foundation, said they funds came from no large donations, but from many people who participated in the annual Duck Derby, the Festival of Trees and other foundation fundraisers.
