Olympic National Park won’t charge entrance fees Saturday as an invitation for visitors to visit and celebrate the National Park Service’s 85th anniversary.
Camping and backcountry fees will remain in effect.
“Seeing first-hand the treasures of Olympic National Park is always a great value — getting to see them free of charge is an added bonus for those who arrive on Founders’ Day,” said David Morris, Olympic National Park superintendent.
Founders’ Day celebrates the U.S. Congress establishing the National Park Service on Aug. 25, 1916, with the National Park Service Organic Act.
