PORT ANGELES — Original art from the hands of Northwest Indian College students — and their instructor Bob Mitchell — awaits visitors to the Peninsula College Longhouse Art Gallery, where admission is free to the show and to a reception Thursday afternoon.
The public is invited to the Longhouse for art and conversation with the artists during this event from 1:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Among the works in the show are Mitchell’s “Leezard” mirror and box, several glass and beaded pieces, and a large story pole, which the students built together.
Northwest Indian College, operated by the Lummi tribe, is located in Bellingham.
Its exhibition of student and faculty art will stay up through August in the Longhouse Gallery, on Peninsula College’s main campus at 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd.
