PORT ANGELES — Nippon Paper Industries USA announced Wednesday that Steven R. Johnson has been named the company’s vice president-mill and power manager.
Johnson’s expertise includes paper making and paper chemistry, as well as information systems, process engineering and operations management, according to a prepared statement announcing the appointment.
His most recent position with Nippon was as the technical services and power manager.
Johnson will assume the duties of Harold Norlund, who left the company in early March to return to Canada.
The news release stated there will be other restructuring within Nippon under Johnson and that those announcements will be made in the near future.
