Next Coffee with the Mayor event set for Thursday in Sequim

SEQUIM — Mayor Dennis Smith will host Coffee with the Mayor from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Thursday.

The informal monthly meeting will be held in the council chambers at the Sequim Civic Center, 152 W. Cedar St.

Barbara Hanna, communications and marketing director, will join Smith.

Sequim shifts to remote utility meters

Installation for devices began last August

A family of eagles sits in a tree just north of Carrie Blake Community Park. Following concerns over impacts to the eagles and nearby Garry oak trees, city staff will move Sequim’s Fourth of July fireworks display to the other side of Carrie Blake Community Park.
