NEWS BRIEFS: Wilder Auto to show hybrid, electric cars at Northwest Maritime Center … and other items

PORT TOWNSEND — Wilder Auto Center will showcase its hybrid and electric car selection Friday and Saturday at the Northwest Maritime Center.

The cars will be available from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the maritime center at 431 Water St.

For each test-drive, Wilder will donate $10 to the center.

PORT ANGELES — Life coach Melody Romeo will discuss “Handling the Ups and Downs of Diabetes” during a diabetes support group meeting at 6:30 p.m. April 25.

The meeting hosted by Olympic Medical Center will be in the private dining room at Seasons Cafe at the hospital at 939 Caroline St.

This group meets monthly to focus on diabetes education and health maintenance in a casual environment.

Support group meetings are free and open to the public.
