Day of service
PORT ANGELES — Holy Trinity Lutheran Church will be doing volunteer work to mark the National Day of Service and Remembrance at 11 a.m. Sunday.
Volunteers will be working in the garden and grounds at Port Angeles High School, 304 Park Ave.
Members of the public are invited to join with the congregation. Volunteers should bring gloves, yard tools and trash bags.

PORT ANGELES — The Peninsula Evangelical Friends Church will host “Supper and a Show” at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Friends will serve homemade soup, bread, rolls and cookies at Friends Church, 1291 N. Barr Road.
During dinner they will show the 2018 documentary “The Riot and the Dance.”
This family-friendly film screening is free and open to the public.

PORT ANGELES — Unity in the Olympics will be celebrating the World Day of Prayer from 4:45 p.m. Wednesday through 6 p.m. Thursday.
The church will be live-streaming services from www.worlddayofprayer.org in its activities center at 2917 E. Myrtle St.
The schedule of events is:
Wednesday:
• 4:45 p.m.: Opening music.
• 5 p.m.: Opening service in the activities center with keynote address.
• 6:30 p.m.: 24-hour prayer vigil begins in the Silent Unity Chapel and continues overnight to Thursday.
Thursday:
• 9 a.m. Silent unity prayer service in the activities center.
• 10:30 a.m. Unity in the Olympics’ prayer chaplains will be available for prayer.
• 12:30 p.m. “Embodying the Presence: The Sound of Limitless Potential” in the activities center.
• 2 p.m. Unity in the Olympics’ prayer chaplains will be available for individual prayer.
• 6 p.m. Closing of the 24-hour prayer vigil in the Silent Unity Chapel.
