NEWS BRIEFS — Story Swap in Port Angeles features taste of something sweet Tuesday . . . and other items

PORT ANGELES — In their Story Swap this time around, the Story People of Clallam County are doing something different.

Instead of having a featured teller, they’re featuring desserts, as in a whole potluck devoted to them, in the Raymond Carver Room at the Port Angeles Library this Tuesday.

The gathering will start with sweets at 6 p.m. at the library, 2210 S. Peabody St., and then turn to an open mic for all storytellers at 7 p.m.

The theme is holidays and winter, so tellers are encouraged to share personal stories or traditional tales connected in some way to those topics. The connection can be subtle.

Listeners and tellers age 10 to 110 are invited to the Story Swap, while more information can be found at www.ClallamStoryPeople.org or by phoning Chris at 360-452-8092.
