The event is free.

Alzheimer’s Association caregiver support groups provide a place for caregivers to learn and gain support from others caring for a person with memory loss.

Support groups also serve as an opportunity for participants to receive information on care management, available services and research and treatment options.

A free support group for unpaid care partners, family members and friends of individuals with memory loss is held the second Monday of each month.

Adult Learning Programs

PORT TOWNSEND — Quimper Unitarian Universalist Fellowship has announced its winter 2015 Adult Learning Programs.

This winter’s program will kick off Saturday with readings of poetry by Grays River writer Robert Michael Pyle and Chimacum writer Holly Hughes.

There are also ongoing groups devoted to reading, knitting, meditation and playing the recorder.

Course brochures will be available beginning Monday, Jan. 12, at the fellowship, Jefferson County libraries, the Port Townsend Community Center and online at www.quuf.org under “Adult Programs.”

Some classes may involve book or materials costs, and field trips may involve travel expenses or entry fees.

All are welcome.

Child care is available on request for programs during after-school hours

Public enrollment begins Jan. 12 at www.tinyurl.com/ALPs2015Winter or at the online enrollment station in the Fellowship Hall.
