New rules at Sequim aquatics center as it reopens

SEQUIM — The Sequim Aquatic Recreation Center, closed for about two weeks for annual maintenance work, has reopened and added a few new rules.

Cameras, including video cameras, are prohibited inside the SARC building at 610 N. Fifth Ave., said board chairwoman Susan Sorensen.

SARC patrons can no longer use their cell phones in the exercise rooms or locker rooms, though they may make and take calls in the lobby or hallway.

Children age 7 and under must have an adult within arm’s reach at all times inside SARC.

And the center’s new circuit training room is reserved for users age 16 and older.

A 14- or 15-year-old may use the room if accompanied by a parent or guardian, provided both have attended a circuit-training orientation and both are engaged in circuit training sessions.

For details, call SARC at 360-683-3344.
