Motor home flips; passenger injured

JOYCE — A Snohomish-area man suffered a cut to his arm when a motor home he was riding in flipped on its side on Sunday.

Dennis P. Belcher, 52, was treated and discharged from Olympic Medical Center on Sunday.

The State Patrol gave this account:

James Belcher, 88, also of the Snohomish area, was driving the 1985 Toyota motor home east on state Highway 112 at about 3 p.m. Sunday when it went off the road to the right and rolled onto the driver’s side.

The motor home stopped on its side on the roadway, about 1 mile east of Joyce.

Both of the men were wearing seat belts at the time, and James Belcher was not injured.

James Belcher was cited with driving with wheels off the roadway.

Neither drugs nor alcohol appeared to be a factor in the crash.

The vehicle was considered a total loss.
