PORT ANGELES — Water service will be shut off from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday to most city water customers east of Race Street and Hurricane Ridge Road, and south of and including Third Street.
All city of Port Angeles water customers east of the city limit also will be affected.
Customers in the affected area may experience low or no water pressure during that time, according to city officials.
Residents are being asked to limit water usage during the estimated nine-hour period on Tuesday to minimize impacts on water service lines.
The shutdown will allow a new water transmission main to be tied into the city’s existing water system.
It is part of a continuing series of water service shutdowns in the area around Olympic National Park headquarters that is related to the city’s Park Avenue water line replacement project.
