More ferry cancellations today, Tuesday in Port Townsend and Keystone

Low tides and unfavorable currents are causing more cancellations of the ferry between Port Townsend and Keystone today and Tuesday.

The scheduled 9:30 a.m. sailing from Port Townsend today and Tuesday will be canceled, as will be the scheduled 10:15 a.m. run from Keystone.

The normal Port Townsend-Keystone schedule will return Wednesday and continues until a new round of tidal cancellations occur between May 22 and May 27, approaching the Memorial Day holiday weekend.

That cancellation schedule as well as other information is available on the Washington State Ferries Web site, www.wsdot.wa.gov/ferries.
