A 10-year plan to end homelessness, plus a review of last year’s accomplishments, are on tap for today’s 2005 Annual Planning Forum on Homelessness.
The forum, open to the public, runs from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Port Angeles Senior Center, 328 E. Seventh St.
Shelter providers and social service agencies will update the 10-year plan, review progress from one year ago — such as a youth drop-in center and work toward a mental health crisis center — and develop strategies for continued efforts to meet housing needs in Clallam County.
The forum is coordinated by Clallam County Shelter Providers Network, Serenity House of Clallam County, and Housing Authority of Clallam County.
It will also include presentations on Medicaid funding changes, permanent supportive housing for the chronically homeless, and the preservation and creation of affordable rural rental housing.
