Master Gardeners to provide seeds to bookmobiles in Jefferson County

The Jefferson County Library has announced that Master Gardeners will team up with the bookmobile one week each month until the end of October.

The Washington State University Jefferson County Extension will take seeds from its seed library along with the bookmobile to lend out.

The Master Gardeners will be out with the bookmobile during the weeks of April 22-25, May 20-23, June 24-27, July 22-25, Aug. 26-29, Sept. 23-26 and Oct. 28-31.

The seed library will be available at the following locations and times:

• Laurel B. Johnson (Coyle) Community Center, 923 Hazel Point Road, Quilcene, 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Mondays.

• Gardiner Community Center, 980 Old Gardiner Road, 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Mondays.

• Quilcene Community Center, 294952 U.S. Highway 101, Quilcene, 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesdays.

• Cape George Firehall, 3850 Cape George Road, Port Townsend, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesdays.

• Port Ludlow Village Store, 40 Village Way, Port Ludlow, 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesdays.

• Johnston Realty, 40 Brinnon Lane, Brinnon, 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursdays.

Patrons should note that seed library times may not completely match bookmobile times.

The Seed Library, which opened this February, is at 121 Oak Bay Road and is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays.
