For the 23rd straight year, Fort Flagler State Park will place host to a ham radio demonstration organized by the Mike and Key Club of Renton.
The event, which will take place on from 11 a.m. Saturday to 11 a.m. Sunday, will demonstrate the importance of amateur radio for emergency communication during local and national disasters.
The public can watch as the club operates 10 worldwide radio stations on different frequencies — with emergency power –to contact other amateurs around the world.
Admission is free.
