Marine Resources Committee opens spring internship program applications

PORT ANGELES — The Clallam County Marine Resources Committee is seeking two students for its spring internship program.

One intern will work on the committee’s smolt trap monitoring program in Tumwater Creek in Port Angeles between April and June, the other will work with the Makah Tribe’s green crab trapping and removal program on the Makah Reservation in April and May.

Both interns will present their work at the Intern Celebration set for Aug. 17.

Both internships are for 80 hours at $15 per hour.

Applications must be received by Monday, March 9.

Applicants should review the committee’s website at www.clallamcountymrc.org then submit a letter of intent to handersen@co.clallam.wa.us.
