MAINTENANCE WORK on roads and trails this week:

Waterfront Trail

PORT ANGELES — Maintenance work along the Waterfront Trail could cause delays for those walking or biking between City Pier and the Morse Creek trestle this week.

The work will be done between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day today (Monday) through Friday.

The trail will be open, but machinery may slow progress along the trail at times.

Poles replaced

PORT ANGELES — Traffic disruption is expected on M Street between 15th and 18th streets Tuesday.

City crews will replace three transmissions poles between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., said Teresa Pierce, city spokeswoman.

The work is part of the city’s maintenance contract agreement with Nippon Paper Industries USA Inc., she said.

She added that work is dependent on the weather.

East Beach Road

OLYMPIC NATIONAL PARK — Motorists traveling on East Beach Road along the north shore of Lake Crescent may encounter delays of up to 15 minutes as crews resurface two segments of road Tuesday.

Work is scheduled from
8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., according to Olympic National Park spokeswomen.

Crews are patching the roadway.
