Light snow was falling this afternoon in Port Angeles and elsewhere in the lowlands of the North Olympic Peninsula.

No traffic problems were reported, but roads can be slick so be careful.

WASHINGTON THIS MORNING…AS A DEEP UPPER LOW MOVES SLOWLY

SOUTHEAST ACROSS THE REGION. LOCAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS OF AN INCH

ARE POSSIBLE THIS MORNING BEFORE DRIER AIR BEGINS MOVING IN FROM

THE NORTH THIS AFTERNOON.

HIGH TEMPERATURES WILL ONLY BE IN THE MID 30S TO LOWER 40S

TODAY…AND CLEARING SKIES TONIGHT WILL ALLOW OVERNIGHT LOWS

RANGING FROM THE UPPER TEENS IN THE NORTHWEST INTERIOR TO THE

LOWER 30S ALONG THE SOUTH WASHINGTON COAST. FRIDAY WILL BE A COOL

AND MOSTLY SUNNY DAY.

A WEAK WEATHER SYSTEM WILL MOVE THROUGH WESTERN WASHINGTON FROM

THE NORTHWEST SATURDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHT…WHILE A COLD AIR MASS

REMAINS IN PLACE. CONFIDENCE IS NOT VERY HIGH IN THE DETAILS OF

THIS SYSTEM. AT THIS TIME THOUGH…IT LOOKS LIKE IT COULD PRODUCE LOCAL

SNOWFALL OF UP TO 2 OR 3 INCHES IN THE WESTERN WASHINGTON LOWLANDS…

MAINLY SOUTH AND WEST OF SEATTLE.
